Sign up 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. "The first throw" 11 a.m. and tee off of first round at 11:15ish. yes - new format which was the old format for the Shorewinds tourney. $20 for open. $15 for ams. $10 for beginner/recreational and women. 100% pay out for open and ams. recs and beginners will get two discs. (Everyone else will get one disc courtesy of Doug Kelly, the park manager who made this course happen.) To help me pre-registration would be very much appreciated. You can mail checks to: Paul Stephens 27 Woodlee Lane Grand Island, NY 14072 There will still be ctp prizes and instead of a driving or putting contest, the park manager is letting me use that island across the lake and putting a pin out there to use as a ctp across the water. Something like 3 shots for $5. And for those that want to register that day, that's fine. I don't think we'll hit the 90 mark but that's what the park manager is ordering for plastic to give away that day. Feel free to contact me through this site with any questions or my email is writer20(at)hotmail.com. And on a side note if anyone can think of some kind of Rochester vs. Buffalo tie in for that day, again you can email me or post on my website www.wnydiscgolf.com (it's a lousy site but it does have a message board.) thanks! Paul

Including Rochester players - I've got commitments from a total of 10 so far. Anyone else??? Should be a great day. My hope is beat the Shorewinds grand opening of 46. 50 or more would be awesome. As I've said, the district manager of the Genessee (sp?) Region plays and if he sees the support of the area dg community, will likely lead to more courses in the area. Since I have a schedule that is just lousy for disc golf - 11a. to 8 p.m. throughout the week, I doubt I'll be out on a week night to collect any pre-registrations. (unless I get the shown the door at work, but I don't see that happening. I hope.) But Mark Kistner has offered to take names and $$ if people would like to sign up ahead of time. Also he now holds the course record of 55. (I believe that's from the whites.) Anyway, no PDGA fees and pros and ams get paid in cash. How cool is that?!?! Post here if you are considering or use the ever popular www.wnydiscgolf.com to add yourself to the list. - thanks - Paul

For the Roch vs. Buffalo maybe do a final 9 (1-8,18) of the winners in each division from each city? For you Facebooker's, I posted the event up. Tried linking it but it doesn't work. Just search "Angry apple" and it should pop up.

that's great Kevin. It looks like there will be several rec players so they don't need to feel pressured.
Also - on a side note the ever talented Carol Alex has come up with very cool design for the disc that everyone will get. It's more than likely going to be an Innova disc -possibly champion plastic - with an Angry logo on it. thanks, Carol!

WOW, a 55 at Darien is pretty impressive. One arrant shot can easily add 2-3 strokes.

thank you much! Also got a check from Super Dave today.
Looks like we're starting to see some momentum. (sp?) And I am also going to talk with the park manager and see if he'll order 45 candy AVRS and 45 of either the new Blizzard or Kantana (I know I have that spelled wrong) in champion plastic for the players' packs.

Paul and Angie - thank you very much for the check. Arrived on Saturday. I was out there last weekend. Course is drying out pretty well. Definitely needs some trimming but there is some nice shot variation. Kinda keeps you honest.

Thanks Pickleball! And Mike - no one has hit an ace yet that I know of. Perhaps you can do it again. Several ace runs on the Apple.
Anyway, thanks for letting me know you're coming and it will be good to see you again.

Quick question and you don't have to be playing that day to answer. I'm going to order 45 dx discs and 45 champion. I have to order in sets of 15. Would players be interested Cobras? I think it's a great amatuer mid range disc but - besides me - does anyone throw them anymore???
Also, for the 45 champion, I'm considering 15 Kantanas, 15 wraith and 15 apes. Are the apes a good disc or should I order more of the Kantanas instead?

Paul, I think 15 katanas, wraiths and teebirds or destroyers are a good bet. A lot people throw Teebirds and destroyers
